Summer job market for teens and young adults in short supply

As summer progresses, things look rough for Minnesota teens hoping to land a summer job, KSTP reports. The teen unemployment rate for the state stands at 20 percent, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Moreover, KSTP says, some studies indicate that fewer than one in three teens will succeed in finding a job this summer.
Asked to comment, OCB professor David Vang was blunt, noting that "This is probably going to be one of the tougher years that teens have experienced since World War II."
