Printing from Your Laptop

Every student at St. Thomas is given a quota (allotment) for "free" printing and copying and will be charged a per-page fee over and above that allotment.  The allotment will be $40 for Fall, $40 for J-Term/Spring and $40 for Summer.  Each semester is defined as follows:

  • Fall: August 19 - January 1
  • J-term/Spring: January 2 - May 19
  • Summer: May 20 - August 18

The $40 allotment is equal to 400 black and white (160 color) letter size prints or copies. Each page printed beyond $40 will be charged back to the student at a rate of 10¢ per black and white (25¢ color) standard print.  There is no cash value to the $40 allotment.

To check your printing activity, log into the Portal and click "current printing activities" under the "Applications" menu.
