Dawn Swink has three main research interests: telecommuting and employment law, e-commerce and reproductive law. She has published numerous articles in scholarly journals, including American Business Law Journal, Brigham Young University Law Review and the University of Maryland Law School's Journal of Health Care Law & Policy. She won several awards for her articles and was an invited scholar to the Huber Hurst Research Seminar, in which one in 10 legal studies scholars in the country are selected to participate. Swink is currently the editor-in-chief of the Midwest Law Journal, and serves as an articles reviewer for the American Business Law Journal and the Journal for Legal Studies in Education. A true believer in study abroad, Swink co-directed the London Business Semester in 2005 and 2014 and co-directed a UMAIE BLAW J-term course in Australia. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her students.

An examination of the business law rules and principles of particular relevance to entrepreneurship, finance, management, and marketing. Subjects include contracts, negligence, products liability and warranty, sales of goods, intellectual property, employment law, as well as general notions of legal reasoning and legal process and alternative dispute resolution. Prerequisite: Junior standing

An exploration of the international legal environments and some of the legal issues and problems confronting businesses as they cross international boundaries.
