Dr. Romain Lorentz

Romain Lorentz has been teaching at the Opus College of Business since 2006. Before then, he taught U.S. law at the University of Paris II, France, where he was also coordinating the LL.M. Program in French and European Business Law. In addition, he worked as a senior editor for Caselex, an online European law information and database company. His research interests include intellectual property law, Internet law, European Union law, torts and comparative law. His most recent publications relate to pure economic loss, commercial agency and private enforcement of antitrust law. He has been a member of Professor Louis Vogel's research team (Paris) for more than 10 years. Lorentz was named 2012 Gaylord Jentz Scholar by the Academy of Legal Studies in Business.

Lorentz serves on the board of directors of the Alliance Française of Minneapolis-St Paul. He is a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business, as well as the Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business.

He holds a Maîtrise in Law (J.D.) from the University of Orléans (France), a D.E.A. (LL.M.) in Comparative Law and a Doctorate in Comparative Private Law (J.S.D.) from the Universities of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) (Paris, France).
