Susan M. Campion

Distinguished Service Faculty : Operations and Supply Chain Management Department

Susan M. Campion is a Distinguished Service Professor in the Opus College of Business. She grew up in the Twin Cities area, received her Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and her Master of Science degree in industrial and management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Campion brings more than 20 years of international business and consulting experience in operations and marketing management, lean and quality improvement, program deployment, project management and change management to her teaching. She is the founder and owner of Camponovo Consulting and has worked with clients in various industries, including pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer goods, manufacturing, health care, education and nonprofits. She is also the co-founder of Giant Steps, an annual conference and community for path-forging artists and entrepreneurs building sustainable businesses and careers. She works with organizations at all levels, across functions and internationally, to align strategies, engage organizations, improve processes and increase impact and results. Prior to consulting, she held management positions at 3M in marketing, operations/supply chain and quality in Italy, France, Germany and the United States. Campion is also a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
