The Center for Ethical Business Cultures invites you to the second in a series of seven discussions on organizational culture, particularly the challenges of sustaining a commitment to ethical conduct.

Core values and the role of leaders in shaping, articulating and modeling those values are central to the CEBC model of ethical culture. Values are enduring but often need to be revisited and refreshed in light of changing business models and environments. Too, leaders confront constantly shifting challenges that, on occasion, test the organization’s values. It is instructive to delve into ways in which organizations have responded to these pressures, to learn from each other how they have developed innovative ways to keep the values relevant and top of mind. How have different leaders at different levels operating in different organizational situations been able to underscore the importance of ethical values while also assigning importance to other performance measures? What are successful models and innovative or best practices on these two dimensions for sustaining ethical cultures? Please join us for this second in our series of conversations.

These are invitation-only meetings; they are not open to the public. For information on membership, see the Center for Ethical Business Cultures website.

The goal: Build practical applications that help bring the framework to life in ways that you can take back into your organization; and help all of us shape cohesive, purposeful strategies ensuring that ethical values inspire our organizations.

Format: Meetings will convene at the St. Thomas Minneapolis Campus. Each discussion will begin promptly with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. followed by discussion from 8-9:30 a.m.. We will adjourn at 9:30 a.m. Sessions will be facilitated by Ron James, president and CEO of the center; alternatively, we may invite a member of the group to serve as facilitator for a particular topic.
