The Center for Ethical Business Cultures invites you to the next in a series of discussions on organizational culture, particularly the challenges of sustaining a commitment to ethical conduct.

An organization’s adherence to ethical guideposts that stress enduring values can be tested by constant pressure to meet short-term production, sales, reorganizational or financial targets. How do we create and sustain a culture that nurtures critical relationships over the long term while meeting immediate requirements? Can companies initiate practices that achieve both? What role do boards and leaders play in making a longer-term perspective a reality for all stakeholders?

The importance of reaching for a longer-term perspective to avoid the risk that short-term demands will undercut values is an important dimension in our exploration of the CEBC model and your experiences. Please join us for the conversation by sharing your approach and helping to identify useful ways that leaders and managers can achieve this balance.

These are invitation-only meetings for members of CEBC; they are not open to the public. For information on membership, see the Center for Ethical Business Cultures website.

The goal: Build practical applications that help bring the framework to life in ways that you can take back into your organization; and help all of us shape cohesive, purposeful strategies ensuring that ethical values inspire our organizations.

Format: Each discussion will begin promptly with breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by discussion until we adjourn at 9:30 a.m. Sessions will be facilitated by Ron James, president and CEO of the center; alternatively, we typically invite a member of the group or a guest to serve as a “conversation starter” for a particular session.

Registration fee: The one-time fee for the entire series is $200.
