Beyond Compliance: Creating a Long-Term Perspective

The Center for Ethical Business Cultures invites you to the fifth in a series of seven discussions on organizational culture, particularly the challenges of sustaining a commitment to ethical conduct.

Constant pressure to meet short-term production, sales, reorganizational or financial targets can cause tension with adherence to ethical guideposts that stress enduring values. How do we create and sustain a culture that nurtures critical relationships over the long-term while meeting immediate requirements? Can companies bring to life practices that achieve both? What role do boards and leaders play in making a longer-term perspective a reality for all stakeholders? The importance of reaching for a longer-term perspective to avoid the risk that short-term demands will undercut values is an important dimension in our exploration of the CEBC model and your experiences. Share your approach and participate in identifying useful ways that leaders and managers can achieve this balance. Please join us for the conversation.

Note

These are invitation-only meetings; they are not open to the public. For information on membership, see the Center for Ethical Business Cultures website.
