The University of St. Thomas was proud to host the October meeting of the Women's Health Leadership TRUST, whose mission is to advance women leaders in health care.
The TRUST's 2012 Jean Harris Award was presented to Dee Thibodeau for her empowering leadership style, deep health care knowledge, unbridled enthusiasm for making connections between people and ongoing mentorship of emerging leaders.
Thibodeau shared her expertise on the subject of always being an entrepreneur in whatever environment that you are in and her perspective about taking risks.

About Dee Thibodeau:
Thibodeau is one of the co-founders and a co-CEO of Charter Solutions, a management consulting company specializing in health care. Previously, Thibodeau was president of EDI Solutions, an international electronic commerce company. She has been president of the National Association of Women Business Owners, chair of the Minnesota High Tech Association and founder and president of the Twin Cities EDI Business Forum. She also currently chairs marketing for the NACD.
Thibodeau has been a board member of the TRUST since 2005.
About the Jean Harris award:
The Jean Harris Award was established in 2001 in honor of Jean Harris, a leader in health care who was known for making a difference in the health of our communities. Jean was a physician, the former mayor of Eden Prairie and a member of the TRUST. She was described as visionary, a person of great integrity and a stellar example of the best in public leadership. This award provides the TRUST the opportunity to recognize one of its colleagues for outstanding contributions in health care leadership.
