Health Care Track of the Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity

The Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity is the largest diversity and inclusion conference in the country.  Presented by the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas in partnership with the Twin Cities Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, the conference’s purpose is to provide a compelling learning experience fostering business and though leadership in workplace diversity and inclusion.

The health care track at the Multicultural Forum is planned by a national committee of individuals representing university medical centers, health care providers and advocacy groups. They select and create presentations to address the specific diversity and inclusion needs of the health care workplace for both providers and insurers.

2011 Health Care Sessions

Attend sessions on workplace issues for health care providers and insurers:

  • Dignity and Respect: A Community Initiative (W4-I)
    Candi Castleberry Singleton, Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer, and Dawnita Wilson, Program Director, Inclusion Initiatives at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
  • Critical Conversations for Healthcare Leaders (W5-H)
    Judy Seidenstein, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Duke University and Kerry Watson, CEO, Durham Regional Hospital
  • Kaiser Permanente's Diversity Leadership Program (W6-F) Andrew Lee, Manager, Workforce Inclusion and Deborrah Jackson, Director Regional Diversity, Kaiser Permanente
  • The Impact of Healthcare Reform on Diversity and Inclusion (W6-H) Dan McLaughlin, Director, Center for Health and Medical Affairs, University of St. Thomas

Scholarships are available for students and employees of nonprofit organizations with budgets of $5 million or less. Scholarships are on a first-come, first-served basis and will be awarded until funds are no longer available.
