Leadership Competencies for Transformational Times
Regardless of what happens at the national level, Minnesota organizations are at the forefront of meaningful health care reform.
Guided by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Triple Aim adopted by the state, organizations are driving initiatives to simultaneously improve the health of the population, improve the patient/consumer experience and improve affordability of care. Doing so requires a different kind of leadership than we’ve seen from health care in the past.
Join a panel of University of St. Thomas alumni to discuss the leadership competencies needed by today’s health care leaders and how the business, collaboration, critical thinking and innovative leadership skills developed in UST MBA programs can be leveraged in these transformational times.
Panelists will include:
- Tim Sielaff, M.D., '08 M.B.A., President, Virginia Piper Cancer Institute, Abbott Northwestern Hospital
- Jeff Mirviss '93 M.B.A., Vice President, Cardiology Marketing, Boston Scientific
- Julie Tauer, PT, '08 M.B.A., Administrative Fellow, University of Minnesota Medical Center / Fairview
- John Orner, '03 M.B.A., Vice President, Business Development & Chief Investment Officer, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota
