Staying Connected at UST
Whether it's networking, socializing, professional development or continued learning - the UST Graduate Business Alumni Board (GBAB) has exciting opportunities for alumni to stay in touch. In addition to an alumni newsletter many other things happen on a regular basis to help you stay connected.
The board formed in November 2005, and began hosting events in April of 2006. In less than a year more than 600 UST Opus College of Business alumni have attended our events ranging from Robert Price's presentation of his book, The Eye for Innovation; the Summer Social event at Summit Brewery (see photos); our Fall Corporate and networking event at Best Buy; and the 1st Annual Leadership Luncheon at St. Thomas headlined by Joe Perdew, President of Target Commercial Interiors and Executive UST MBA graduate in 2003.
Our mission is to offer UST Graduate Business Alumni venues to stay connected to the Opus College of Business and to each other through networking, career enhancement, leadership and learning opportunities. In addition to holding events with strong business content that add value to your career and degree, we try to make these events fun and social.
Alumni activities take place the third Thursday of every other month! Here's a sampling of UST Graduate Alumni Events:
Master's Connection: "Social Capital: Networking Strategies to Expand Your Sphere of Influence", presented by Mary Jo Sherwood, MBA '03
First Annual Fredrikson & Byron Distinguished Lecture: Featuring Daniel Yankelovich, author of "Profit with Honor: The New Stage of Market Capitalism"
First Friday Luncheon: Dale Bachman, President of Bachman Florists
Graduate Business Alumni Networking Event at The Toro Company: Executive Speaker - Michael J. Hoffman, '88, Chairman and CEO of The Toro Company
As a prospective Full-time UST MBA student, the Graduate Business Alumni Board looks forward to connecting with you as a student and upon completion of your St. Thomas MBA degree. Best of Luck!
