Director of Admissions
Tiffany Cork is director of admissions for the Full-time and Evening UST MBA programs and leads the recruiting and admissions efforts of the UST MBA programs. Before joining St. Thomas in 2012, she worked for Ernst and Young in the Midwest region as a campus recruiter. Prior to that experience she worked in graduate student recruitment and admissions at a number of schools, as well as volunteer recruitment for non-profits including the Girl Scouts and 4-H. Cork earned a B.A. in international studies and a master's of education from the University of Minnesota – Duluth. Cork volunteers as a Guardian Ad Litem in Ramsey County.
Assistant Director of Admissions
Sandra Thomas is one of two assistant directors of admissions for the Full-time UST MBA program. She plays a critical role in recruiting, advising and serving as an important contact for prospective students interested in the Full-time UST MBA program. In addition, Thomas serves as a board member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) Minneapolis-St. Paul chapter. Thomas earned a B.A. in social studies education from St. Olaf College and an M.A. in management and nonprofit management from Hamline University. Prior to coming to the University of St. Thomas, Thomas worked for the Saint Olaf TRiO programs. She advised, coached and assisted first-generation, low-income junior high and high school students living in St. Paul through the college admissions process. In her spare time, Thomas volunteers in her community, mentors TRiO students and donates her time as a “Big Sis” with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Assistant Director of Admissions
Susan Thoma is the assistant director of admissions for the Full-time UST MBA program, and plays an active role recruiting and building relationships with prospective students, as well as serving as a resource for application and program related questions. Thoma also participates in monthly Information Session and Open House events and contributes to the Opus Magnum blog. Before joining the Full-time UST MBA program, Thoma worked in commercial real estate banking for 7 years, and was the admissions manager for the Evening and Weekend MBA program at University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. She holds a B.B.A in finance and marketing from the University of Notre Dame and a M. Ed in higher education from Loyola University of Chicago. In her spare time, Thoma enjoys traveling both domestically and internationally, trying new restaurants in the Twin Cities, and spending time with her family and friends.
Department Coordinator, Full-time and Evening MBA Admissions
Hannah Hedegard is the department coordinator for UST MBA admissions. She plays a vital role in assisting the entire team in scheduling interviews, managing the application process and serving as a contact for prospective students enquiring about the Full-time and Evening UST MBA programs. Hedegard received her B.A. from Hamline University in English and secondary education. Before coming to the University of St. Thomas, she worked for a design college as a financial aid officer. In her spare time, Hedegard enjoys reading, “up-cycling” thrift store finds in to DIY home decorations and spending time with her family.
M. Kay Wimer
Kay Wimer is the program adviser for the Full-time UST MBA program. In addition to counseling students on course selection and other academic issues, she serves as co-advisor to the UST MBA Student Association and assists students with a wide variety of student life activities. Wimer holds a B.A. with a double major in fine arts and psychology from Indiana University, and she earned an M.A. in education from the University of St. Thomas. She previously advised Evening UST MBA students, and before joining the UST MBA team Wimer coordinated the off-campus programs for the School of Professional Studies.
