Electives: CPA Accounting Track

The UST MBA Accounting track can provide even non-accounting undergradaute majors with the courses and credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam, as well as the technical knowledge and business acumen to advance your professional accounting or management career. This track is unique in that all courses listed must be taken to be able to sit for the CPA exam and graduate with a UST MBA degree.  

The CPA/accounting core and elective track courses are listed below.  Students on this track also replaces one course in the typical core curriculum.

Core Courses:

  • ACCT 601: Financial Accounting
  • ACCT 605: Managerial Accounting
  • BLAW 620: Business Law for Accountants (replaces BLAW 600 in core)

Elective Courses:

  • ACCT 701: Intermediate Accounting I
  • ACCT 702: Intermediate Accounting II
  • ACCT 710: Business Taxation
  • ACCT 717: Auditing
  • ACCT 720: Cost Accounting
  • ACCT 730: Advanced Accounting

Upon completion of this degree track you will have the confidence, knowledge, leadership and quantitative ability to be a successful public accountant or financial professional.
