A liberal arts major in one of my classes, who often seemed overwhelmed, asked a question, which was not at all couched in the language of finance, but reflected a well grounded conceptual understanding of the subject matter.  Of course, I gave her ‘credit’ for the question. The student responded with a surprised look on her face, startled by her own insight - and changed the atmosphere in the classroom for every student for the rest of the semester.  Caution and fear gave way to confidence, inspiration and enthusiasm. What a great semester!"
