Real Estate Executive Insight Series: Market Research
The Real Estate Executive Insights Series is presented by the Opus College of Business Master of Science Degree in Real Estate program. This series invites speakers from the real estate industry to provide valuable information and discussion about hot topics and current trends in real estate. This is a free program and is open to the public.
Mary Bujold will be examining the Twin Cities real estate market and discussing how changes in demographics, economics and the job market affect real estate development, acquisitions and financing. She will look at how the declining market has changed who is developing and what type of product they are developing.
Presenter Biography
Ms. Mary Bujold, CRE
Ms. Bujold joined Maxfield Research in 1984 shortly after the firm was established. Working initially with multi-family residential developments, she rapidly expanded her expertise to include financial institution studies, retail, mixed-use and redevelopment analyses. She is considered a market expert in the field of residential real estate and in market analysis for financial institutions.
As president, ms. Bujold is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the firm and providing strategic direction and key input for all research projects for the firm. In addition, she heads project assignments for large-scale land use and redevelopment studies including downtown revitalization for private developers and municipalities in the Twin Cities and in the upper Midwest. Ms. Bujold has worked with a wide array of public and private sector clients, including institutional clients. She has worked directly with private developers, colleges and universities on their short-term and long-term student housing needs. She regularly testifies as an expert witness for eminent domain, tax appeal and other types of real estate litigation.
A graduate of Marquette University in Business Administration, Ms. Bujold also holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota. She holds the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) designation.
