Accelerated MS Degree Program

Gain education, experience and a professional network in 16 months.

A key aspect in making yourself marketable in the real estate industry is obtaining a good mix of education and experience, as well as having a strong professional network.  For individuals interested in a shift in career and specialty areas in real estate, or for those who are in the process of determining which niche area is the best fit for them, the Accelerated UST MSRE program offers a great opportunity to combine education and experience.  Students also benefit from the strong ties between UST and the real estate industry in building their professional network.

   Education

The Accelerated UST MSRE plan allows students to fast-track their studies, taking classes in the summer and January terms as well as the traditional fall and spring semesters.  In addition to earning the credential faster, students increase connectedness and continuity among courses.

   Experience

Students in the UST MSRE are encouraged to add to class discussion in order to facilitate collaborative learning in the classroom.  We do not recommend that students in the Accelerated UST MSRE program work full-time due to the intense course load.  However, we will work with students to find part-time real estate internships which will allow daily application of information learned in class as well as real world experience to add to class discussion.

Once accepted to the program, students can work with program staff to determine the best fit for available internships.  Internships are not required as part of the program curriculum.

   Strong Professional Network

Students in the UST MSRE program join our network of industry professionals.  UST has a strong network of alumni currently working in the real estate industry and has ties to real estate professionals working in a variety of different specialty areas in the industry.  Through guest lecturers in class, the Real Estate Executive Insight speaker series and other sponsored events, students in the program have the opportunity to network with a wide variety of real estate practitioners.

Application and Admissions Requirements

The application and admissions process for the Accelerated UST MSRE program follow the same requirements as the UST MSRE program.  New students are accepted for the accelerated program each fall semester.  Beginning the program in the fall allows students to complete the program within the 16 month timeline.  Students beginning the program in the spring are not guaranteed this 16 month completion timeline.
