For Current Students

Blackboard

Student information is found on Blackboard, the University of St. Thomas academic Intranet. When you have questions about course selection, degree planning, math review, graduation procedures or program news and events, begin there.

Log in to Blackboard then select  "My Organizations" then "MBC Students."

Registration

UST MBC students register for courses online. You may use your Blackboard course site or go directly to Murphy Online and register for

  • summer and fall terms in April.
  • January and spring terms in November.

Advising For Students

New UST MBC students arrange a meeting with Leslie Krona, MBC student services advisor, during their first semester to review degree or certificate plans, course options, and the timelines for their graduate work. Schedule an appointment early: lakrona@stthomas.edu or 1 (651) 962-4383. Follow up regularly to stay on track as you progress through the program.

Student advising includes orientation and student services, advice about course planning and student performance, as well as career planning and direction. The UST MBC staff and faculty make themselves readily and regularly available for student conversations. Just make your need known, and we'll be there for you.

Application for Transfer to Degree

MBC certificate program students can apply for transfer to UST MBC degree status by completing an on-line Transfer to Degree form. An official GMAT or GRE test score must also be submitted for degree consideration. Applications are reviewed in January, April and August of each year. Call the MBC program office to confirm the next application deadline 1 (651) 962-4380 or visit our Admissions & Application page for more details.

Graduation

When you enroll in your final class, you will also apply for graduation. See the Apply for Graduation link on this page in the far right column. Your student file will be reviewed for approval to graduate, attend commencement and receive your UST MBC diploma. Visit the Opus College of Business events page for the next spring commencement date and details.

Degree students are eligible for an Opus College of Business commencement ceremony held in May each year. Graduates are also invited to attend the Dean's Reception scheduled in December and May for graduates and their mentors.

MBC certificate students will receive a letter to acknowledge an earned certificate. Certificates are sent via postal mail after completion of the final course.
