Featuring Molly Olson '95 M.B.C.

The 12 Roadblocks to Effective Communication will offer a glimpse of what is offered in the three-day course, Leader Effectiveness Training (L.E.T.), taught by Molly K. Olson. The LET program was developed 40 years ago by a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Dr. Thomas Gordon, who was a student of Carl Rogers, often recognized as the “father” of modern day psychology.

In this presentation, Olson will set the stage for why communication is critical and provide insight on behaviors that create conflict and misunderstanding, inhibiting maximum workplace productivity. Some of the roadblocks may surprise you.

You will learn to:

  • Identify 12 communication habits that hinder connections and prevent respect
  • Develop a deeper understanding of specific behaviors that create misunderstandings and conflict
  • Recognize behaviors that cause others to react defensively or argumentatively
  • Gain awareness of why communication can break down with just one thing said the wrong way
  • Understand the importance of adjusting your approach to foster the dialogue and collaboration necessary to be an effective leader

To facilitate networking, seating is limited to the first 60 registrants.
Please register by July 19.
