Linda Sloan

Linda Sloan is a native of Chicago. She received her B.S. in marketing from the University of Illinois and her M.B.A., with an emphasis in marketing and strategic management from Purdue University. Linda has worked for many premiere Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, 3M and Target Corporation. Her work history runs the gamut from producing award winning radio and television commercials to developing event marketing strategies to recruiting “Best in Class” talent at various levels.

Linda is also active in the community. She sits on the boards of the Stairstep Foundation, Jazz Unites in Chicago and the Board of Christian Education at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She is a past president of the Twin Cities chapter of the National Black MBA Association.

Tom Colosimo is a career coach and corporate relations specialist. Prior to joining UST in early 2009, he was a third-party recruiter in the finance, accounting and marketing business areas for six years. He also worked in corporate finance for more than 20 years and held senior level positions with companies in the manufacturing, retail telecommunications and banking industries. Tom has been the volunteer coordinator for the Career Transition Connection job club in Woodbury, Minn. since 2002.

Tom prides himself as being a ‘master networker’ and loves connecting people to create a successful business solution. He has made many presentations around the metro area at networking groups and organizations.

LaBarre Spence has 20+ years in the corporate world in the areas of quality, consulting, marketing services, and training and development with companies including Ingersoll Rand, Accenture and Carlson Marketing Group. The last ten years have been devoted to career services for MBA students, first at The Carlson School of Management and now as a career coach at the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas, working with full-time, evening, and executive MBAs. He has an M.B.A. and a master’s in Human Resource Development.

His passion is helping individuals identify and promote their unique abilities so they will feel empowered and engaged in their careers and lives.
