20th Annual Stakeholder Dialogue

Klaus Leisinger was the featured speaker at the 20th Annual Stakeholder Dialogue, held on April 30, 2013 at the University of St. Thomas downtown Minneapolis campus. Leisinger, chairman of the Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development, shared his insights on the challenges of expanding a business in a competitive global economy while addressing pervasive and complex social and ethical issues. The program also included reflections from Michael Balay, vice president of strategy and business development at Cargill, and Bradley Buck, senior director of operations and corporate engagement for Land O'Lakes International Development. The dialogue was moderated by Ron James, president and CEO of the Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC).
The program was co-sponsored by the Veritas Institute, the Koch Endowed Chair in Business Ethics and the Center for Ethical Business Cultures, all based at the Opus College of Business. The program also marked the Center for Ethical Business Cultures' 35th anniversary.
