Podcasts: Seton Hall Symposium, "Is For-Profit Catholic Health Care a Viable Alternative for Ministry?"
Tuesday, September 4, 2012
This symposium, held on March 26-27, 2012 in collaboration with the Center for Religiously Affiliated Non-profit Corporations and the Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law & Policy at Seton Hall University School of Law, engaged scholars and practitioners from multiple disciplines to develop an objective framework for analyzing the following questions:
Is the delivery of health care as a ministry compatible with providing that care through an investor-owned company publicly identified as Catholic?
If not, why not?
If yes, are there any management, governance or other structures or processes that may need to be developed to accommodate Catholic health care as a ministry?
The proceedings of the symposium are available in podcast form.
