Vocation of the Business Leader: Seeking Meaning in the Global Economy

As part of its ongoing Higher Calling series, the Veritas Institute of the Opus College of Business, the John A. Ryan Institute for Catholic Social Thought and the Habiger Institute for Catholic Leadership of the Center for Catholic Studies invite you to an evening of reflection and study.

Using the recently published Vocation of the Business Leader: A Reflection (the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, 2012) as a springboard for discussion, the event will feature Pierre Lecocq, a contributor to the vocation document. Lecocq is president and CEO of Inergy Automotive Systems, a major global supplier of fuel and emission control systems to car manufacturers. He is also president of UNIAPAC, the International Christian Union of Business Executives. He will address the practical challenges and concrete actions to live out one’s vocation in an increasingly secular and pluralistic world.

At the end of the program, there will be an open discussion time for questions. Michelle Rovang-Burke, director of the Veritas Institute, will serve as moderator.

Upon registration, attendees will receive an electronic copy of Vocation of the Business Leader: A Reflection, as pre-reading material. A hard copy will be available at the event.
