Encore: Making a Living and a Difference in the Second Half of Life
Monday, April 29, 5:30 PM
Wondering what’s next in your life? Thinking about doing work you feel good about? Join us for a town hall-style event celebrating the publication of The Encore Career Handbook: How to Make a Living and a Difference in the Second Half of Life. Author Marci Alboher, former New York Times careers columnist and vice president of Encore.org, will be interviewed by Marketplace Money’s Chris Farrell.
In addition, you’ll hear from several Twin Cities area people who have transitioned into encore careers – second acts for the greater good. You’ll get a chance to meet local encore leaders and mingle with people working as social entrepreneurs in nonprofits and in various encore-friendly fields such as education, health care and the environment.
