The MN Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Center for Health & Medical Affairs at the University of St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business present:

Develop Effective Strategy in a Chaotic Health Care Environment

With the advent of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and increasing financial pressures, health care organizations  are facing one of the most chaotic environments in recent memory. Health leaders are turning their attention to developing ACOs, provider consolidation or mergers, value-based purchasing, implementing ICD-10, meaningful use and much more. Devising effective strategies amidst these challenges is critical to organizational performance. Amidst these challenges, how can health care leaders effectively use strategy to achieve organizational success?

In their presentation, Jack Militello and Mick Sheppeck will provide a new model for effective strategy development and execution. This model is based on the results of their research on more than 70 health care organizations and 400 businesses outside of health care. Their approach to strategy includes aligning innovation, market approach, business planning and human capital management. Learn how this comprehensive approach to strategy can lead to long-term organizational success.
