Elevator company to conduct tests

ThyssenKrupp Elevator Company will be on campus this week and part of next week to conduct Phase I and Phase II fire testing for all elevators.

This required monthly testing will be conducted on both the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses.

ThyssenKrupp will do its best not to entrap anyone in an elevator; however, those who are in an elevator when it is shut down for testing need not panic; there will be a loud buzzing sound and the elevator will descend to the bottom floor, where after a short period the doors will open allowing passengers to exit.
