Study abroad: January Term 2009 open house is March 27; scholarship applications due April 1

Open house
An open house for January Term 2009 off-campus programs will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in Campus Square, lower level, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

Attend this open house to learn more about the programs being offered next January, and meet the St. Thomas faculty directors who will lead programs. Course descriptions also will be available, including cost and itinerary.

Application materials are available online. The priority application deadline is Friday, April 4.

Study abroad scholarships
Study abroad scholarships include two new J-Term awards. Application deadline is Tuesday, April 1, for summer, J-Term and year students who are planning to study abroad

Students preparing to study abroad this summer, fall or year – or in January 2009 – are encouraged to examine the list of available scholarships that are dedicated to students seeking an international experience. Applicants should note that April 1 is the priority deadline for several awards that will help cover the cost of a J-Term abroad.
