Information Resources and Technologies would like to alert the campus community to network and cable outages over the Christmas-New Year’s break.

Wired and wireless network outage

On Thursday, Dec. 29, wireless connections to the Internet will be unavailable on both the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses while IRT switches over to new equipment. IRT anticipates the outage in Minneapolis to be from 8 a.m. to noon and in St. Paul from noon until 4 p.m.

Cable outage

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 27-28, Comcast will connect the Anderson Student Center to the rest of the campus’s cable TV system. During these two days there will be outages resulting in loss of CATV service across campus. CATV service will be fully restored by Thursday, Dec. 29.
