Yarn Tamers is an opportunity for faculty, staff, students and outside community members to spend a relaxing hour working on yarn projects, meeting new friends and colleagues, and socializing. Newcomers are invited to stop by and join in the fun.

During the summer, starting today, Tuesday, May 31, Yarn Tamers will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Weather permitting, the group will meet on the lawn east of the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center and the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center; bring a lawn chair.

During inclement weather the group will meet in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center.

“Anyone can come to Yarn Tamers. If you don’t knit or crochet or do other types of needle crafts then join us for fellowship and fun or bring your lunch to enjoy while visiting,” noted Pat Alexander of the women’s center. “There is no formal registration – just show up if interested.”
