Vehicles will not be ticketed for “no UST permit” from 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, to 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3. All other parking regulations will be enforced during this time, including restricted spaces, fire lanes, meters, handicapped and no overnight parking in non-resident surface lots.

Vehicles that are left on campus over winter break should be parked in the R2 or R3 ramps on north campus. In order to properly plow the lots, it is necessary that other lots not be used for storing vehicles over holiday breaks.

Whether or not you have a current UST permit and your vehicle will be parked on campus between Dec. 18 and Jan. 3, be sure to notify Public Safety, (651) 962-5100. You will be asked for your license plate number and a contact phone number for these dates.

If you are leaving your vehicle on campus for any extended amount of time (more than 48 hours), you are advised to give your keys to a friend or family member and leave their contact information with Public Safety in case the vehicle needs to be moved. Anyone who leaves their vehicle on campus over break is subject to towing at their own expense.

January Term parking

Permits will be required during J-Term and all parking restrictions will be in place; however, Lot H will be open to both faculty-staff and commuter permits during J-Term. J-Term permits will be available for purchase for $30.
