UST’s Art History Department and the Minnesota chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians will co-host this free event, which is open to the public.

A dedication ceremony for the ramp and the observatory will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, in the 3M Auditorium, Owens Science Hall; a reception and observatory tour will follow.
- Monsignor Lavin visits St. John Vianney Seminary
Monsignor James Lavin, who lived in Ireland Hall from 1946 to 2002, visited St. John Vianney Seminary for evening prayer on Thursday, Sept. 17. He gave a brief talk and afterward greeted and blessed each of the seminarians. Lavin arrived at the St. Thomas campus 73 years ago as a freshman; he graduated in 1940 and was ordained in 1945.
