Instructor Leads Fundraising in PurpleRide Twin Cities

Michael Sarafolean, an instructor in the Entrepreneurship Department, put together a 77-person team for the third annual PurpleRide Twin Cities for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network last fall. His was the leading fundraising team, bringing in more than $24,000 and counting. Sarafolean lost his wife and father to pancreatic cancer.

Kate Ortman, one of the ride’s co-chairs, graduated from St. Thomas in 2004 with a B.A. in business administration-marketing management.
