Professional Interests:
I am a human geneticist that is interested in using the zebrafish (a small, freshwater fish) as a model organism to study the genetics of development and disease.   Specifically, my  research has focused on the genetics of brain and eye development.  In addition, I am also interested in developing the zebrafish as a tool to use in the K-12 science classroom.
