Living Communities

Applications for the 2008-2009 academic year are available here. Students interested in living in either the Men's or Women's House must also have a faculty member's recommendation.

Faculty Recommendations available here.

The University of St. Thomas is enriched by the presence of three "living communities" on campus. A Women's House and two Men's houses offer an example of a faith-filled communal living experience.

The four pillars of our living communities are:

  1. Charity: To love God and our neighbors
  2. Fraternity: Learning and living out brother- and sister-hood in Christ
  3. Study: Dedicated to intellectual formation and growth
  4. Prayer: Rooted in the faith and liturgy of the Catholic Church

The student communities are expected to create a pattern of life together, centered upon the Catholic faith, which includes liturgical life, community dinners, household meetings, and personal prayer.
