Why did you come to UST?
I listened to my intuition. I was very new to the U.S. and did not know much about anything in MN. I was passing by and saw the beautiful architecture. The person who was driving told me that this is a very good University. After this, I decided to come to UST. I took that experience as a sign.
What does it mean to you to be selected as an Aquinas Fellow?
I feel very happy and honored. This means that all I have been doing is in accordance with my goals and purpose in life. I also take this as a sign.
What has been your most valuable experience at UST?
I have many great experiences here at UST, and I have great trouble choosing just one. To me, coming to UST every day, spending most of my day going to class, talking with my professors, spending time in organizations, talking to friends, and working on campus is an ongoing experience. My best experience is not one moment but all moments. This is what I love when you follow your vocation, everything works out as planned, and every experience is valuable in its own way.
How will being an Aquinas Fellow help you discern and work towards your vocation?
It helps me to realize that what I have dreamed is real. The Aquinas Fellow program acknowledges that [dream], and that’s important to me because it is another motivation to continue.
