Why did you decide to come to UST?
To discern, study and be formed for the Diocesan priesthood at St. John Vianney, and have the opportunity to spend four years ina well-rounded course of studies in the Liberal Arts: Philosophy, Catholic Studies, and Classical Languages.
What does it mean to you to be selected as an Aquinas Fellow?
It is an honor to be called out to serve as a vocation leader in campus, and being recognized for the good work that the Lord is bringing to fulfillment in me. All I can say is that I am a part of a new generation with a great desire to do God’s will.
What has been your most valuable experience so far at St. Thomas?
To discover what mentorship truly is. As the book of Ecclesiasticus urges, If you see a man of understanding
. Let your feet wear out his doorstep (Si 6:36). There has been no shortage of mentors during my years here.
How will being an Aquinas Fellow help you discern and work towards your vocation?
The Aquinas Fellows Program unites like-hearted students on campus to encourage them, foster them, and entrust them with responsibility to be vocation leaders on campus.
What advice would you give a student about discerning their vocation?
Discernment means receiving the will of God particular for you, in its totality and in all its humility, simplicity, and difficulty. It happens in prayer, by echoing Our Lord, here I am, I have come to do your will. Speak Lord, your servant is listening. Then respond wholeheartedly your vocation will be your happiness.
