
St. Thomas hosts various youth sports camps and clinics throughout the year. Some are sponsored by Tommie coaches, others are run by outside groups who rent the St. Thomas facility.

University of St. Thomas assistant basketball coach and psychology professor, Dr. Johnny Tauer, holds his youth basketball camps at the St. Paul campus. Tauer has directed one of the longest running basketball camps in the Twin Cities, and in the state of Minnesota. 2008 basketball camps include residential, full-day, half-day, and overnight camps for boys (grades 4-10), full-day and half-day basketball camps for girls (grades 4-9), beginner's camps (grades 2-4), and evening basketball camps for high school boys and girls (grades 9-12). Camp staff consists of current and former college players and coaches. Emphasis is placed on skill development, goal-setting, motivation, and teamwork. Tauer has been associated with Minnesota basketball for the past 20 years, playing high school and collegiately for Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minnesota) and the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minnesota). After earning his Ph.D. in social/sport psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Tauer returned to Minnesota in 2000. He lives in St. Paul and has conducted basketball camps for the past fourteen years. Tauer also speaks across the Twin Cities on topics ranging from motivation to psychology to basketball.

Residential (overnight) camps are offered for grades 5-9
Full day camp is offered for grades 1-8

Sinn has been conducting camps for the past 20 years at Hill-Murray High School and Apple Valley High School.
Camps are created to enhance each individual participant's ability. Emphasis is placed on team development with many activities structured in the concept of understanding the basic fundamentals of basketball. Camps provide opportunities for girls to come together to share their interest in basketball while establishing new friendships.

Legendary St. Thomas coach Dennis Denning sponsors a holiday-break baseball clinic each year between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The registration deadline is early December. St. Thomas softball coach John Tschida hosts a winter clinic for grades 7-12 on set weekend days from November through January. Check back here in the fall of 2007 for information on the next winter sessions.
The St. Thomas Men's Soccer coaching staff will conduct an Advanced Camp in December for Grades 10 - 12. These sessions will focus on improving the player's tactical and technical ability, speed of play, the player's individual coordination, speed and agility and much much more. This is a must for High School players that are looking to take their game to the next level.
For ages U8 - U16, a Community Camp is offered that focuses on player's individual technical and tactical ability, as well as working with each player to improve their overall game.
