The College of Arts and Sciences is the liberal arts heart of the University of St. Thomas.
Inspired by Catholic intellectual tradition, our mission is to engage students in an exceptional liberal arts education that prepares them to be reflective individuals, responsible citizens, and thoughtful professionals committed to the common good.
The College of Arts and Sciences houses 23 academic departments and interdisciplinary programs. We give life to our liberal arts mission through a broad range of majors and minors and, importantly, through the core curriculum: a cohesive set of courses designed to provide a liberal arts foundation for all St. Thomas students. Our faculty are dedicated teachers and scholars, working closely with students in order to give them the opportunity to grow academically, creatively, and spiritually, ultimately preparing them for the complex world of the 21st century.
From undergraduate research in collaboration with faculty, to creative performances, to internships, and to seminar discussions, our programs are rooted in active learning initiatives. Please explore all that the College of Arts and Sciences has to offer.
