Please join Jane Wunrow at the upcoming December Feminist Friday, hosted by the Luann Dummer Center. Artwork by Jane is featured in the exhibition, “Disruption and Resolution: War, Art and Peace,” currently on view in the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center Lobby Gallery.
Jane will discuss the way in which dreams have influenced her artistic work and the discovery process in bringing these mystical fragments into reality. She will also share the many joys and challenges she has experienced balancing her work as an artist and her privilege of being a mother.
Jane Wunrow is an illustrator and mixed-media artist. She has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and shops. Jane frequently discovers that the materials and techniques she applies to her work is a direct result of her childhood interactions with her artist father and craft making enthusiasts mother. In 2007 Jane received a B.F.A. from the College of Visual Arts in Saint Paul, MN.
She currently lives in Saint Paul, with her husband, three daughters, and two cats.
This talk will be an open forum format in order to encourage discussion and questions.
