Shelly Nordtorp-Madson teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in Medieval and Dress History.

Her current research interests focus on Medieval death culture, Medieval dress, artistic syncretism in Medieval Scandinavia, and Shape Shifters in Medieval Art and Literature.
