Nordtorp-Madson's current reserach interests focus on Medieval death culture, Medieval costume, artistic syncretism in Medieval Scandinavia, and Shape Shifters in Medieval Art and Literature. Recent Publications Entry on Wedding Costume for Encyclopedia of Clothing and Fashion (2004), and several articles on the clothing of the Greenland Norse (ca. 985-1480)
