A Season of Joy:
The Nativity in Global Perspective

This exhibition will feature selections of advent art from the Westminster Presbyterian Church Collection, including crèches from the Martha Spencer Rogers Crèche Collection and Christmas card designs by Dr. Timothy Trent Blade.

 



The Crèche in Many Languages

Schwartz’s lecture will contemplate the history of Advent art (specifically crèches) and the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural representation of Jesus in art.  Join Schwartz after the lecture for a reception and exhibit  opening in the lobby gallery.

The exhibition and lecture receive support and are included in the

2009 Sacred Arts Festival
