Faculty Steps for UMAIE-sponsored January or June Term 2010 Proposals
Deadline to Submit to ARCIE is Monday, October 13, 2008.

First-time/New Proposal for UMAIE Programs

1. Consult with your department chair and dean to gain consent to submit a proposal.
2. Contact Sarah E. Spencer, International Education, for proposal form.
3. Develop proposal.
4. Submit proposal by October 1 for ARCIE pre-review comments.
5. Obtain department chair's signature.
6. Obtain your dean's signature and approval.
7. Submit to ARCIE (c/o International Education 44 N. Cleveland, St. Paul Campus) by October 13 the original proposal with signatures; e-mail final proposal to arcie@stthomas.edu.
8. Proposals approved by ARCIE will be forwarded to the UMAIE Board of Directors.
9. UMAIE Board of Directors will review and approve programs in early December.

Subsequent Offerings

1. Consult with your department chair and dean to gain consent to submit a proposal.
2. Contact Sarah E. Spencer, International Education, for updated proposal form.
3. Revise proposal.
4. Obtain department chair's signature.
5. Obtain your dean's signature and approval.
6. Submit to ARCIE (c/o International Education 44 N. Cleveland, St. Paul Campus) by October 13 the original proposal with signatures; email final proposal to arcie@stthomas.edu.
7. Proposals approved by ARCIE will be forwarded to the UMAIE Board of Directors.
8. UMAIE Board of Directors will review and approve programs in early December.
