Privacy Policies

As part of the University of St. Thomas, the Alumni Association follows internal university privacy policies as well as abides by the National Privacy Act. Except as provided for by law, it is St. Thomas' and the Alumni Association's policy not to divulge any alumni information to non-alumni. When alumni sign in and use the online alumni directory, only the name, class year, and academic major of an alumnus or alumna are accessible until he or she has approved more information to be provided.

Alumni cannot obtain a full list of other St. Thomas alumni, whether organized by academic major, state of residence, etc., and are strictly prohibited from using the directory for business and other non-personal uses, except for the business-to-business directory on this Web site.

The online alumni directory that is provided on this Web site is limited to University of St. Thomas alumni via password. Alumni who use the directory are subject to the Terms of Use and Service agreement that all users must agree to before accessing the directory.  Alumni who participate in the directory can limit the information about themselves that is made available.

The Alumni Association does contact alumni when organizing alumni events and programs. Alumni Association volunteers occasionally use alumni lists to contact alumni about these opportunities.
