Care Package Suggestions

Wondering what to mail your student?  Try these suggestions!

  • Tasty treats, such as chocolate chip cookies, Rice Krispy bars, and Special K bars.
  • Gift cards for food or clothing stores.
  • Send food!  Microwave popcorn, hot chocolate, easy mac & cheese, granola bars – avoid perishables like fruit, as students might not pick up the package right away.
  • Personal items, like shampoo, lotion, lip balm, contact solution, deodorant, cold medicine, or tissues.
  • Decorations for birthdays or holidays, cards, holiday treats.
  • Subscriptions to magazines or mail DVD services.
  • Gloves or mittens, an umbrella, cleaning wipes, pencils
  • Overall, any mail is great to receive!  We suggest cards and hometown newspaper clippings.

To be sure your mail get to its recipient, please follow the proper address formating for sending mail to a student.

  • Please DO NOT use residence hall room numbers.
  • Mail and packages are not delivered to residence halls (dormitories).
  • DO NOT use the words PO box or the mail could be mistaken with USPS mailboxes in downtown Saint Paul.
