Elementary Education: make a difference in a young child's life - become a teacher.

What are recent graduates doing now?

A recent graduate of our program is teaching in an elementary school and is very excited to be teaching students and helping to facilitate their learning.

Faculty Involvement

Faculty members in our department advise students, serve on department and university committees, volunteer in their local schools, conduct research, write articles and books, give presentations, and provide leadership in state and national organizations as well as assist other universities in meeting accreditation standards.

Internship Opportunities

Our students have the opportunity to complete a full-year clinical practice under the guidance of a trained mentor and supervisor and engage in co-teaching with their mentor teacher in a classroom in place of the one semester clinical practice (student teaching). This serves the same purpose as an internship for prospective physicians. This is all in addition to attending a highly rated university with an excellent education program.
