Undergraduate Admissions

Student Type

Freshman:  You would apply as a freshman student if you have graduated from high school or you have completed a home-schooled curriculum and you haven’t taken any classes for college credit since your graduation.

Note:  If you have PSEO credits or other college credits that you received while in high school, regardless of the amount, you would still apply as a freshman student.

Transfer:  You would apply as a transfer student if you have been enrolled at a college or university and have attended classes for at least 10 days or you have taken any class for college credit since graduating from high school.

Undergraduate Evening Program (UEP):  You would apply as a UEP student if you are interested in completing a bachelor’s degree by taking evening classes on a part-time basis.  UEP students are typically adults who are several years removed from their high school graduation and are working full-time.

Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program:  PSEO classes are offered to high school students who wish to supplement their high school curriculum with college courses for credit.  You would apply as a PSEO student if you are currently a junior or senior in high school and meet the academic requirements

International: You would apply as an international student if you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. Freshmen and transfer international students follow the guidelines for freshmen or transfer students as stated above. Also, if transferring from a U.S. institution, you must complete an F-1 immigration form. In addition, international applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency and financial support. Please visit the international admissions web site at http://www.stthomas.edu/admissions/international/ for complete information.
