Undergraduate Scholarship Information

The University of St. Thomas offers a limited number of International Student Scholarships and Tuition Scholarships for incoming international freshmen and transfer students.

Award Amounts

The International Student Scholarship: amounts from $2,000 - $20,000 per academic year.

The Tuition Scholarship: 10% to 40% tuition discount.

Application Procedure
 

Complete one application to be considered for both scholarships.
 

Note: Be sure to submit proper documentation of your financial support. Applicants who plan to apply for a scholarship must submit official proof of at least $15,000 of financial support and must submit the financial certification form (PDF) to be considered for a scholarship.

1. Apply to for admission to St. Thomas.
    
2. Complete and submit the scholarship application form (PDF).
    
3. Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher or school administrator.
    
4. Submit a one-page written essay explaining why a scholarship should be awarded to you. Please include:
    
   • reasons why you wish to attend the University of St. Thomas;
      
   • any leadership activities, service organizations, or clubs in which you have participated (list and explain);
      
   • what you plan to do in the future to help others and/or future generations;
      
   • other evidence that supports why you should be awarded a scholarship to attend the University of St. Thomas.

Deadlines
 

St. Thomas International Student Scholarship

To be considered for an International Student Scholarship, you must complete an application for admission and submit all requirements for a scholarship application by the following dates:

• Fall (August) semester deadline: January 15
   
• Spring (January) semester deadline: September 15
   

St. Thomas Tuition Scholarship

No deadline.
