Graduate Scholarship Information

Awards: based on merit and need

Award Amounts: $5,000-$10,000 per school year

Application Procedure:

  1. Apply for admission to the University of St. Thomas graduate program and gain acceptance into the program.
  2. Provide one letter of recommendation from a professor or a work supervisor.
  3. Provide a one-page written essay of why a scholarship should be awarded to you. Please include:
  • Explain why you have need for the scholarship;
  • reasons why you wish to attend the University of St. Thomas;
  • list and explain any leadership activities, service organizations, or clubs in which you have participated;
  • explain what you plan to do in the future to help others and/or future generations;
  • and, explain any other supporting evidence of why you should be awarded the scholarship to attend the University of St. Thomas.

 

Deadlines:   

  • March 1 for Fall semester and October 1 for Spring semester for all graduate students whether in the U.S. or outside the U.S.

Criteria:

  • You must submit a complete scholarship application which is the letter of recommendation and written essay; incomplete apps will not be reviewed.
  • You must be a degree-seeking graduate non-immigrant visa holder and/or will be applying for a visa to study in the US; priority given to F1 visa holders/applicants.
  • You must have been admitted for admission to your graduate program to the University of St. Thomas.
  • You must show that you can finance at least half of the cost of your program per year of the costs to attend the University of St. Thomas.
