St. Thomas has three libraries containing more than 480,000 volumes, subscriptions to more than 2,295 periodicals and access to numerous electronic databases. A computer reference system connects students to major libraries in the region and throughout the United States.
St. Thomas has joined with four other private colleges in the Twin Cities to form the Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC). Full-time, degree-seeking St. Thomas undergraduates in the day program are eligible to register for a limited number of courses at the College of St. Catherine, Hamline University, Macalester College and Augsburg College. Presently, the ACTC operate an inter-campus shuttle bus system that transports students among the five colleges. In addition to taking courses at ACTC colleges, St. Thomas students are eligible to choose a major or minor area of concentration offered at any of the other four colleges. The Committee on Studies at St. Thomas must approve an ACTC major.
